ClipJit User Data Deletion Instructions
How to delete your ClipJit data and remove ClipJit's access to your Facebook and Instagram accounts.
The short version
- Email alante@xtramilecoverage.com with the subject ClipJit data deletion request.
- We confirm within 7 days and complete deletion within 30 days.
- Disconnect Facebook or Instagram in ClipJit to delete stored access tokens immediately.
- Remove ClipJit in your Facebook or Instagram settings to revoke Meta access.
01Overview
This page explains how to delete the data ClipJit stores about you and how to remove ClipJit's access to your Facebook and Instagram accounts. You can do either or both at any time, free of charge.
ClipJit is operated by Alante Sturgues, doing business as ClipJit.
02Step 1 — Request deletion of your ClipJit data
- Email alante@xtramilecoverage.com from the email address on your ClipJit account.
- Use the subject line ClipJit data deletion request.
- Include your ClipJit account email, your workspace name, and whether you want your entire account deleted or only specific data — for example, one connected account or certain videos.
- How we verify your request
- We confirm the request came from the email address on the account. If you write from a different address, we'll ask you to confirm from your account email. We will never ask for your password or for your Facebook or Instagram login.
- Timing
- We confirm receipt within 7 days and complete deletion within 30 days of verifying your request. We'll email you when it's done.
03Step 2 — Delete data and disconnect accounts in ClipJit
- Disconnect Facebook or Instagram: go to Integrations (or Provider Activation), find the account, and choose Disconnect. ClipJit deletes the stored access tokens immediately and stops publishing to that account.
- Delete edits and renders: in Effects Engine, delete signature edits or individual renders you no longer need.
- Everything else: to delete uploaded source videos, transcripts, publishing history, or your entire account, send the request in Step 1.
04Step 3 — Remove ClipJit's access in Facebook and Instagram
Removing ClipJit at Meta revokes the access you granted — even if you can no longer sign in to ClipJit.
- Open Facebook and go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations (on some accounts this is Apps and websites). Select ClipJit and choose Remove.
- Open Instagram and go to Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites. Under Active, select ClipJit and choose Remove.
- Pages managed in Meta Business Suite
- Open Settings in Meta Business Suite, find ClipJit under your business integrations or connected apps, and remove it.
Meta may change these menu names over time. Removing access at Meta stops ClipJit from using your accounts, but it doesn't delete data ClipJit already stores — use Step 1 for that.
05What we delete — and what we may keep
- We delete
- Your account and workspace, uploaded videos and audio, transcripts, captions, edits, renders and exports, brand kit and style packs, content plans and schedules, publishing history, analytics stored in ClipJit, connected-account records, and all stored access tokens.
- We may keep
- Information we must retain to meet legal obligations (for example, billing records if you used a paid plan), resolve disputes, or prevent fraud and abuse — only for as long as required. Security logs are kept for up to 90 days, and deleted data ages out of backups within 30 days.
- Not deleted by ClipJit
- Content you already published to Facebook, Instagram, or other platforms stays on those platforms. Delete it there using that platform's own tools.
06What happens to data ClipJit received from Meta
- When you disconnect Facebook or Instagram in ClipJit, the stored access tokens are deleted immediately and ClipJit stops calling Meta's APIs for that account.
- When you request deletion, ClipJit deletes the data it received from Meta — access tokens, Page and Instagram account IDs and names, granted permissions, and related publishing records — within 30 days of verifying your request.
- If you only remove ClipJit's access in Facebook or Instagram, Meta revokes the token and ClipJit can no longer use it. Send the request in Step 1 to also delete the related records ClipJit stored.
