ClipJit Terms of Service

Effective date: Last updated:

The terms that govern your use of ClipJit, the AI video creation and editing platform for creators.

The short version

  • You own the content you upload and create with ClipJit.
  • You're responsible for having the rights to what you upload and publish.
  • ClipJit publishes only when you authorize it.
  • ClipJit's AI output can be wrong — review everything before you publish.

01Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Alante Sturgues, doing business as ClipJit (“ClipJit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). ClipJit is operated by Alante Sturgues, doing business as ClipJit. These Terms govern your use of ClipJit, including the website and app at clipjit.com.

By creating an account or using ClipJit, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use ClipJit for a business, you agree on behalf of that business and confirm you have authority to do so. If you don't agree, don't use ClipJit.

02Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use ClipJit. You may not use ClipJit where the law prohibits you from doing so.

03Accounts and security

  • Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your sign-in secure and don't share access to your account.
  • You are responsible for activity in your account and workspace, including by team members you invite.
  • Tell us promptly at alante@xtramilecoverage.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

04The ClipJit service

ClipJit is an AI-powered video creation and editing platform for creators. It helps you upload or record videos, transcribe them, find strong moments, add captions and effects, plan content, and publish to social accounts you connect.

We regularly improve ClipJit, so features may change, and some features may be labeled beta or preview. We work to keep ClipJit available but don't guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

05Your content and the license you give ClipJit

You own the videos, audio, images, text, and other material you upload or create with ClipJit (“Your Content”).

You grant ClipJit a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, transcribe, analyze, transform, edit, render, and display Your Content, and to send it to platforms you connect, solely to operate, provide, and improve ClipJit for you. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for copies that remain in backups until they age out and content already published to third-party platforms at your direction.

06Your responsibility for rights

You are responsible for Your Content and for having all rights and permissions needed to use it, including for music, footage, logos, and the likeness and voice of anyone who appears in it.

This includes reaction and commentary videos: you must have the rights to any clip you react to, or a valid legal basis such as fair use where it applies. ClipJit does not download videos from other websites for you.

We may remove content or limit features if we receive a valid rights complaint. To report content that infringes your rights, email alante@xtramilecoverage.com.

07Acceptable use

You agree not to use ClipJit to:

  • Break the law or violate anyone's rights, including intellectual property, privacy, and publicity rights.
  • Upload or publish content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually exploitative, or that promotes violence.
  • Create deceptive content, including impersonating others or presenting false claims as fact.
  • Create or use another person's likeness or voice without their documented consent.
  • Send spam or manipulate engagement on any platform.
  • Violate the terms or policies of any platform you publish to.
  • Interfere with or disrupt ClipJit, probe it for vulnerabilities, or access it by automated means other than the features we provide.
  • Copy, reverse engineer, or resell ClipJit, except as the law allows.

08AI-generated output

ClipJit uses AI to suggest transcripts, captions, hooks, edits, effects, and other output. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable, and similar output may be generated for other users.

Review all output before you publish it — you are responsible for what you publish. ClipJit does not provide legal, financial, insurance, or other professional advice, and nothing ClipJit generates is a substitute for it.

09Third-party platforms

ClipJit lets you connect third-party platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and policies, and you must follow them.

ClipJit is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta, Google, TikTok, or LinkedIn. Platforms may change or limit their services and APIs at any time, and we are not responsible for their availability, actions, or content. You can disconnect a platform at any time.

10Publishing only with your authorization

ClipJit publishes to a connected account only when you authorize it. By default, each post requires your approval. If you enable scheduling or automation rules, you authorize ClipJit to publish within those rules until you change or turn them off.

You are responsible for reviewing content, captions, and schedules before you approve them.

11Fees

ClipJit may offer free and paid plans. You will be charged only if you choose a paid plan. If we introduce or change fees, we'll tell you before you are charged, and prices, billing periods, and refund terms will be shown when you purchase. You are responsible for any applicable taxes.

12ClipJit's intellectual property

ClipJit — including its software, design, logos, and the original graphics, effects, and templates in its Asset Vault — is owned by ClipJit and its licensors and is protected by law.

As long as you follow these Terms, you may use ClipJit's original graphics and effects as part of videos you create and export with ClipJit, including for commercial purposes. You may not extract, resell, or redistribute them as standalone assets.

13Feedback

If you send us ideas or feedback, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation to you.

14Suspension and termination

You can stop using ClipJit and request deletion of your account at any time — see our Data Deletion Instructions.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if your use creates risk or legal exposure for ClipJit or others, or if the law requires it. Where reasonable, we'll give you notice first. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including your responsibility for content, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will survive.

15Disclaimers

CLIPJIT IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON'T WARRANT THAT CLIPJIT, ITS AI OUTPUT, OR PUBLISHING WILL BE ACCURATE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR ACHIEVE ANY PARTICULAR RESULT, INCLUDING VIEWS, FOLLOWERS, OR REVENUE.

16Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CLIPJIT WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL. CLIPJIT'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR CLIPJIT IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID CLIPJIT IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR US$100.

Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

17Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ClipJit and its operator, employees, and agents from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from Your Content, your use of ClipJit, content you publish through ClipJit, or your violation of these Terms or anyone's rights.

18Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or ClipJit will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you and ClipJit consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the mandatory consumer protection laws of the place where you live.

19Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We'll post the updated Terms on this page with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using ClipJit after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
